NEW VIDEO

After a very uncreative month. I finally got off my ass and got back to doing creative work with plenty more in the future. I made a video on another game I hold near and dear to my old, dead, greasy heart. The Tony Hawk series, specifically the 1+2 remake that came out a few years ago.

Howdy. Just wanted to give some updates on stuff going on since I have been a bit quiet on most platforms.

It's not a sign of decay, but more so nose to the grind. Starting off on youtube videos since it's the most pressing and as to why not much has gone on content wise. I've been in the midst of writing/editing a video for the past 3 months that I think I have scrapped 6 or so times. I am thinking about possibly just finally putting it on hiatus and just moving past it. The video is/was meant to be on Dirt Rally 2.0. I had a few really good bits in the video I will be sad to see gone but I think if I sit on it any longer I am just gonna get bit in the ass. I do have a few ideas I am thinking about moving on to, but I don't like spoilers.

Next piece of news is Voice Acting work, I have worked on plenty of projects between my last update and this one. Most notably a new cartoon with the ever lovely Sexual Lobster called Dairymancer where I voiced the DBZ/Jojo like big boy Teal Mist. Honestly always an honor to work with an animator I have followed for years. I was also on a podcast hosted by fellow Newgrounds user Aalasteir called A100. I haven't listened to it because I hate the sound of my own voice. But I gave them the impossible task of making my insane ramblings legible. If you wanna know a bit more about me and what I am like at 5 in the morning, def go check it out. But that's not the only thing I have done with the dude. Recently to celebrate the seasons, I joined in on the Tanksmas Audio Collab for a funny little bit that I wrote and recorded in like 2 minutes. I wanted to add some holiday music to the submission, but I couldn't make anything that sounded "Christmas-e?" Regardless though it was a ton of fun.

Onto a bit more voice news but less newgrounds focused. As many creatives know, but as many people might not be aware. Creative works such as animations, games, audiobooks, etc... take a bit of time to produce. There are plenty of steps that go into a project from beginning to end, and voice acting can be the shortest and easiest part of it. I can usually knock out small animation voice overs in an hour if even that. What I am trying to say is, the past 3 months have not been spent idling. Auditions have been thrown out, roles have been gotten, roles have been voiced. However, a majority of projects I have done voices for have not been released yet. And until a project is released, unless I get permission from the creator. I never like talking about the project. Trust me, there is stuff from spring I am still waiting to see the final result for. I bring all this up cause this one kinda skirts my words a bit as the game is technically* out.

One of the first games I have done voices for Realm Divided, a tile-turn based strategy game currently has it's demo out for people to try. I voiced the demon general unit within the turned based strategy game. Destroyed my throat doing it, but was worth it.

What's next?

Bruh I don't know. Honestly, I keep making these posts stating what I want to do as if I will do and even though like 2 people read these, I kinda get a bit down when I can't meet the imaginary expectations that I set.

So just expect one of these when a lot happens.

I've been stretched thin as of late but been spending more time working on projects recently. New Voice Demo is in the works, should hopefully be done the next chunk of time I have to expend onto it. In projects I have been, or will be working on news. The guys over at MintJoy Pictures are releasing episodes of a project I am apart of. You can find me playing as Judge Thomas Awesome in the trailer for their new episodic review on the persona series called PERSONATHON. Was probably the second thing I ever VA'd in all the way back in November or January of 2022. Anyway, just a small update to the 2 followers who are still here.

And as always, I am looking for projects to work on. My plate can never be full enough, as I am a glutton.

So I am currently working on a couple big projects that I am hoping eventually see the light of day. One of which being the new voice demo which I have been working on. My day job has been leaving me quite exhausted along with being sick almost every other week. But enough complaining. I made a video last night in honor of the Grimacing. Which can be found here!

Made a post back in March about putting sand to the wall and throwing bullets into concrete and then... nothing. Yeah that was my bad. Who woulda guessed that losing your day job would be stressful? Apparently not me, making the promise of a new voice demo with energy that immediately dive bombed shortly after the reality of my situation sunk in and time and morale both became short handed.

Is this my sudden withdraw from the internet? Voice in a few cartoons and run with the proverbial bag of non existent dough? No?

See I haven't been active on here, nor my twitter, but I have been still putting my voice into a microphone. Just not a whole lot and none of the projects are finished just yet so I can't point to them as proof I haven't just been twiddling my thumbs. But don't worry I have also been working on youtube videos... that I can't show you cause they aren't finished. Except for a new video I just made which you can find right here

So yeah I am not dead, and currently I am taking on more projects and available for hire. And I won't say the new VO demo is around the corner, especially as this next week or so I am going to be a bit busy. But I am still alive and trying to get this aircraft in the air.

What a wonderful nearly 6 months since I started doing VA work some what seriously. Working in my bedroom with a broken microphone stand and as of last week a foam box, spitting vocal chords onto audio waves. It is so wild to me that people want to hear my dumb little voice in their hard worked projects. With only three released projects and multiple that are currently in production it has been a fun wild ride so far and I am appreciative of all who have reached out to me so far either on this site or any other. Currently it's looking like my current place of employment is shutting down which has my mind wandering towards different avenues of a career. So far I have received a lot of inspiring words from friends and or collaborators. And while this isn't me saying I am dropping everything (just yet) to do this. I am for sure planning on putting a lot more time and focus on projects. While I still have a lot to learn and my aging face is making me realize my mortality more and more. I am excited to explore what I can do with what I can.
